Headlight Restoration Service in Los Angeles

Increase Visibility, Safety, and Enhance the Appearance of Your Vehicle.

Do your headlights have a dull haze, or yellowish tint making it difficult to see at night or when it rains? It may be time for you to look into a headlight restoration.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to replace your headlights. A lot of people think the haziness comes from the inside, but the majority of the time, it’s from the outside. Restoring your headlights removes scratches, helps maintain the overall value of your vehicle, maintains functionality, performance, and enhances appearance and visibility. This improvement makes driving at night and in inclement weather far safer due to increased visibility and better reaction time. You need every fraction of a second you can get when responding to another vehicle, person, animal, or obstacle on the road. Cloudy headlights make it difficult for drivers to see ahead by slowing down your reaction time in order to slow down or come to a complete stop.

We don’t offer our headlight restoration as a standalone service. We require pairing it with a Premium Wash or Wash & Wax. This is due to how messy the headlight restoration process is. When we wet sand your headlights, the water and the removal of the damaged poly-carbonate layer gets all over your hood, fenders, and front end and it takes time to clean up.

Our Headlight Restoration Process

We don’t use any gimmicks or utilize over the counter headlight repair kits as they don’t provide long term results. We restore headlights the right way following a 9-step procedure to achieve maximum, long-lasting results.

  1. Apply painter’s tape to any plastic/paint around the headlights thoroughly to protect the plastic/paint.
  2. Sand your headlights with 320, 500, 800, 1,000 grit sandpaper to remove damaged poly-carbonate layer.
  3. Wet sand your headlights with 3000 grit sandpaper with pure water.
  4. Buff the headlights with specialty compound to remove out the 3000 grit sanding marks.
  5. Polish the headlights with specialty compound to perfect the lens and produce maximum clarity.
  6. Apply a layer of ceramic coating to your headlights for a 4-year lasting protection that is superior to any wax or sealant.

Headlight Restoration FAQ

Do you come to me?

We come to you! We bring everything we need with us in order to get the job done. We can perform your headlight restoration at your residence or work location. No need to worry about traffic, determining if you’ll have time to eat while on lunch break, or taking any time off from the things that are important to you.

My headlights are really bad. Can you restore them?

Once the headlights get to a certain point, there’s only so much we can do to restore them back to like-new condition. In such cases your headlights will look better after we’re done, but may not return to looking brand new and flawless. But we’ll give it our all and try to achieve the best results possible of course!

How do I maintain my headlights to keep them looking new?

Typically waxes and sealants provide protection for a long time. If you park your vehicle in your garage or shade for most of the time, your headlights will last longer compared to a vehicle that sits outside under the elements for most of the time.
Applying a wax or sealant to your headlights once a month will definitely help last, it’s durability. This should take no more than 10 minutes to accomplish.

Why did my headlights get dull?

Your headlights have a clear coat just like your paint. As the elements beat on it on a daily basis, the clear coat starts to fade. The clear coat eventually turns into a yellow layer.

If your vehicle sits under the sun for most of the day, your headlights are exposed to maximum heat and create damage. Due to the material of the headlights, the clear coat doesn’t last nearly as long compared to the clear coat on your paint.

How long does this service take?

It depends on the size and condition of your headlights, but it typically takes 60 to 90 minutes to complete. If the condition is severe, it’ll take longer.
