Exceptional 1 Step Paint Correction (Polish) Service in Los Angeles

An Excellent service to enhance your gloss.

Enhance gloss and Remove up to 70% of paint defects

Have you noticed swirl marks or scratches on your vehicle’s paint? Scratches can go in different directions, and some are deeper than others. These scratches prevent your vehicle from gleaming.

Where did the scratches come from? Majority of the time it’s due to incorrect washing and drying techniques from car washes, which create imperfections in your paint and sometimes even damage other parts of your vehicle. It’s important to wash, inspect, and utilize clean wash mitts, towels, and brushes to avoid any kind of damage.

Other methods of damage can come from bugs, bird droppings, tree sap, tar, and water spots (minerals in the water) which can etch into the clear coat if not removed within a timely matter. People brushing against your car or leaning on it may also cause scratches.

You may have heard the terms “buffing”, “polishing”, “waxing”, “wet sanding”, etc. and while all of these terms do make up a large portion of the process, they can cause miscommunication between the customer and detailer when it comes to expectations and desired results. There are detailers out there who use fillers to hide scratches as a temporary band aid – a couple of washes later the fillers fall off, and you’re back to square one.

With our 1-step paint correction (polishing) service, we reduce light swirls (up to 70%) and enhance gloss. This is a great service for customers with light swirl marks and light scratches. This service includes our Wash & Wax! Any vehicle we perform a paint correction needs a clay bar service due to the contaminants embedded into the clear coat. Removing the contaminants will give us a clean surface to work on in order to start removing the light imperfections evenly throughout your paint.

Our 1-step Paint Correction Process

  1. Clean tires, wheels, and fenders with different brushes to reach tight areas.
  2. Rinse vehicle utilizing deionized water (prevents hard water spots).
  3. Apply soap with foam cannon to the entire exterior of vehicle.
  4. Wash vehicle in straight lines starting from top, middle, and bottom. We also clean the gas cap, door jams, and remove bugs off from the front of the vehicle (including side mirrors).
  5. Remove any iron and hidden contaminants from the paint which can lead to paint to fade.
  6. Clay bar paint to remove any stubborn contaminants (makes paint feel really smooth).
  7. Examine paint and utilize a paint coating thickness gauge on each panel in order to determine if it’s safe enough to proceed.
  8. Apply painter’s tape to non-paint areas to avoid polish buildup or staining.
  9. Stage 1: Polishing Stage
Polish to enhance gloss and clarity along with oxidation.
  10. Wipe down paint to remove polishing oils from paint along with painter’s tape from vehicle.
  11. Apply sealant to paint or ceramic coating (at an additional price).
  12. Clean exterior glass and windows.
  13. Apply tire dressing to make them shine (they’ll be dry to avoid slinging) along with conditioning trim and plastic.
  14. Clean up emblems, exhaust tips, grille, etc.
  15. Final inspection in case we missed an area or there’s room for improvement.

Paint Polishing FAQ

Do you come to me?

We come to you! We bring everything we need with us in order to get the job done. We can perform a 1-Step Paint Correction at your residence. No need to worry about traffic, determining if you’ll have time to eat while on lunch break, or taking any time off from the things that are important to you. In order for us to perform a 1-Step Paint Correction, it has to be in a customers’ garage with sufficient space to work around the vehicle.

How long do the results last?

When your vehicle is treated properly, your results can last you a very long time. The moment you start taking your vehicle back to a $10 car wash, you can expect the recurrence of previous issues you’ve faced in a matter of weeks.

I recently got my vehicle polished. I took my vehicle back for a $10 wash and I see more imperfections on my paint. Can you fix it?

It depends. Polishing permanently removes a very fine layer of the damaged clear coat. If your vehicle has been polished several times, there’s a possibility we can burn through the clear coat and expose the paint which will give your vehicle a dull look. We’ll have to examine your paint first and utilize a paint coating thickness gauge in order to determine if it’s safe enough to polish.

What’s the difference between your 1-Step and 2-Step paint correction?

Our 1-step paint correction (polishing) will remove up to 70% of the imperfections in your clear coat. Our 2-step paint correction (buffing) removes between 80-90% of imperfections in your clear coat.

The majority of the time, customers are content with a 1-step paint correction. If you’re looking for ultimate results, a 2-step point correction is your answer.

What type of paint protection do you offer for a 1-Step Paint Correction?

We offer a sealant (part of package) and Ceramic Coating (at an additional charge).
