Odors lingering in your interior are not welcoming the moment you step into your vehicle. Not to mention, some of these odors are not healthy for you!
A lot of people apply a masking scent as an air freshener to cover the smell, but the foul odor returns as soon as the fragrance wears off. We do not mask odors with fragrances as they do nothing to eliminate foul odors.
We need to eliminate the source embedded into your upholstery first before utilizing our ozone generator. An ozone generator is a great tool to have, but can cause damage to your interior and/or lungs if used by the wrong set of hands!
Length of time depends on size and how deeply entrenched the odors are. The source of an odor is not always obvious. Odors often emanate from microscopic residues that adhere to surfaces. An electrical current transform normal O2 molecules into ozone (O3). Ozone is a powerful oxidizer that breaks apart pollutants and odor molecules to eliminate them, and even removes odors that often harbors in air ducts. If ozone doesn’t find a pollutant molecule to oxidize, it simply reverts back to oxygen. That’s why we have to wait two hours after treatment to occupy the space. The EPA, FDA, and American Lung Association recommend that ozone only be used while the space is not occupied.
Our ozone generator can cover 1,000 square feet (50 feet x 20 feet). We can permanently remove pet/animal odors, smoke/tobacco odors, chemical odors, cooking odors from burnt food or other pungent kitchen smells, musty odors from damp areas or water damage, and many other types of unpleasant odors.
Our Odor Removal Process
- Takeout loose items.
- Air blow cracks & crevices w/ fine brush.
- Vacuum thoroughly (incl. trunk).
- Spot clean headliner utilizing cleaning wipes or steamer (depending on severity).
- Shampoo upholstery: Apply carpet cleaner to seats, carpet, and floor mats. Agitate fibers and utilize commercial hot water extractor to remove stains and spots.
- Apply fan(s) on top of the upholstery to help speed up the drying process.
- Utilize brushes/pads to clean leather.
- Wipe and disinfect all plastic and trim.
- Clean all interior windows and glass.
- Clean door jambs.
- Start of ozone treatment: Depending on the condition, this process could take 2 ½ hours to 5 hours.
- Final inspection in case we missed an area or room for improvement.

Do you come to me?
We offer mobile detailing services, but for this service in particular, we require our customers to bring their vehicle over to us in Whittier. This is due to the duration it takes to clean your vehicle and eliminate odors.
Can you remove all stains?
Severe stains may not completely come off, but we’ll give it our all in an attempt to have them diminished as much as possible. With that being said, you’ll still see drastic improvement afterwards.
What do you utilize to disinfect my interior?
We use an industrial grade cleaning spray, which contains tough agents that hunt down surface bacteria and viruses that threaten the surfaces you care about most. It’s non-bleaching, but contains benzalkonium chloride. It’s non-toxic and helps remove odors.
How long does the odor removal service take?
It depends on the size and condition of the interior, but cleaning the interior can take anywhere from 2-5 hours. The odor removal process can take an additional 2 ½-5 hours.
Do you utilize harsh cleaning agents?
We always start with the least aggressive method and move up from there. It all depends on the severity. We wouldn’t use cleaning agents in your vehicle that we wouldn’t utilize on our own.
Do you remove my seats and/or carpet with the odor removal service?
We do not remove any seats or carpets with this service.
I have odors in my home. Can you assist with that?
Sure! Our ozone generator is meant to eliminate odors in hotels, offices, apartments, automobiles, boats, RVs, and other areas. The ozone generator can treat areas up to 1,000 square feet (50 feet x 20 feet). Please give us a call so we can discuss further.
Will my interior take a long time to dry?
By the time we’re done with your vehicle, it will be 85% dried. We also recommend cracking open the windows for at least 24 hours to ensure the interior is completely dried.
